A pre-runner is a car you use to run the race track before the race...... Here in Australia we don't pre-run we do a reconisance of the track(not a prologue 11cab...lol) instead which is a lap of the course at a limit of about 60km/h before the race

Hope this helps

Ps. this is not my car.. I only posted it as a wish list.....LOL

Hey Desert, I'm under the impression that reconisance is for checking out the track, and Prologue is to determine the starting order

so let me get this right Moose.

you build one 50k car to race,

and then you build another 45k car for pre-racing,

mmmm, that makes sense....NOT!

No doubt about yanks, they know how to make perfectly simple things totally complicated.

LOL........... only to have the money they have:duh

Oh and don't think they only spend 50K on the race car. some send over 250k us and have helicopters and light planes ( one team that I was talking to at Baja last year had 3 choppers, 7 chase cars, 2 semis plus 36 people ) :o

Yup, we had an American racer over here a few months back, and he was saying it costs them about $11,000 US to have a chopper follow them down and back in the BAJA 1000, that way if they crash and get hurt they can quickly get back to the US for medical treatment.....

You can tell it's a pre race - the trailer isn't enclosed and there is no security guard next to it.

If it were on my wish list it would be a different colour!
