a 75 bug, needs work tho,also 73 for bits, had to change blinker and wiper stalks and sports steerin wheel, couldnt see speedo, horrible job,73 & 75 different ..as far as i can work out 1600 motor, soltec carby, been runnin prem unleaded in it, but idle has gone reeaall low

no idea ?? just know its a 75.... buuuttt ..just went out with the kids in it and steering broke, st wheel just goes 360, got towed home ..gonna look at it on weekend

ok ..cool i like Taree, been there many times, thanks for the advice, just have to find a GOOD mechanic, I dont mind doin the work, just feel like a fish outa water with the beetle tho

one sugestion get your self a copy of the idiots guide to keeping your vw alive by john murr. it is a great read and is not to complicated in the instructions but it is about $60

I highly recommend Ben Durie at Teralba for work. I also am working on a car for my daughter and he has helped me out heaps.

i have also used Mick Motors in Brisbane for spare parts. Cheap. I placed an order on Tuesday and parts were at door on the Thursday

there is a non official club in newcastle.
It is called DNVK Newcastle.
You can contact Sam (VWFOOL) on this forum.
He is the one that holds the reins with the club.

I moved because i thought Medowie wasn't the place for me, but now i am considering moving to Central QLD. Not much difference between medowie and Glendale which is near Rockhampton
