fuel flow meter
Has anyone ever heard about putting a flowmeter into the fuel line somewhere to monitor fuel consumption?
I am having some problems with my bus, and I reckon they're fuel related. A flow meter would help diagnose the problem.
Also, this could be used to calculate efficiency (as in litres/100km) almost instantaneously ("almost" since carbies have the float bowl which would
dampen the response somewhat).
What do you all reckon? Waste of time or interesting curiosity?

Oh woops, I forgot to add: I figured some stuff out, does it seem reasonable?
Inputs:
speed: 80km/h
milage: 15litres/100km
Output:
fuel consumption rate is therefore: 3 1/3 ml /sec = 0.000 056 litres/minute
That's more than I was expecting.

Burket sell them helical flow meters , only problem is the cost of them .
you would be better to do what you did above.
