?Demand for pre 60 parts?
Is there much demand for pre 60 parts?
I have been offered a 'square window' - post 56, 'semaphore' - pre 60 body and bits. It's been in the weather and is past being on road unless
some one can work magic on heater channels and the base of A pillars. Can't read model no as it's been painted over.
It will cost me to get it out of the yard and transport it home so I just want to know if there is much demand for bumpers, rims, hubcaps, 11 or
1200cc, Transaxle, Fuel tank, Steering column and wheel etc.
Most of it will need a good clean up as it been under wet leaves for 8 years in a back yard but if there is demand I'll drag it home.

I just gave a 58 away in what sounds like the same condition.

I'm going to be looking for some parts in a few months when I start work on my '60, only minor bits, nothing major, but I haven't jumped in yet as
I have no where to put anything yet that I get hold of.
Then again, I don't get to Sydney much so don't know about getting bits from that distance anyway.
Has it got semaphores, if so what condition are they?

I haven't heard back from the owner as yet. When I do I will post the details here so keep your eyes open. I willpost a list and besides freight /
postage I will basically be giving the parts away. I'll only add a nominal cost to cover my own and then any extra I will put into my baja as it's
being done up to hopefully rally money for charities such as kidney / heart foundation etc.
Some interest - enough to warrant getting it here and stripping it.

Ok - The owners mum called back today. The pre 60 is mine. It is fairly part of the landscape so I will need to winch it from its resting place.
It will be a week or so before I know what I have. I will water blast, tidy, photograph and toetag everything on offer. Don't u2u me with requests
yet. I'll give some notice whe the post will go up a couple of evenings before hand.
Sale Conditions:
Prices - It will be close to a give away. I will be raising money to go towards setting the Baja (Dog-O-War) up for charity rallying so your funds
will be the kick start and considered a donation on behalf of Aussieveedubbers forum.
Basically you can name your price* and first posted, first served. If I don't think it's fair offer ($2 for semaphores) I will hold the item for
another two weeks to allow another interested party opportunity to better the offer. Purchases and prices will be through U2U from the posting and
will remain confidential. I will post a list of parts on offer and as they sell will list what they sold for but not who to.
I live in Dubbo so freight will be the issue. I, and a friend make frequent trips to Newcastle so those in Sydney can sort freight from there if they
like. In the mean time I will approach a couple fo freight companies and get basic quotes to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Perth.

Update:
Picked up the Pre 60 today. Was to dark and I was too busy to have a better look at the model. Quite a few good parts on it and in it. Will be
removing and cleaning most of them over the next 2 or 3 days. Each will be photogrphed and catalogued ready for a new thread.

Ok - I have removed and scrubbed what I feel comfortable getting wet. Any thing electrical is as is. You can chance it but I haven't and can't test
it as it's all 6Volt.
I will be posting the pics later tonight in a seperate thread. Once the thread is created I will post the link here for those who can't find it.
I will leave the thread running for a two week period (Sunday 27th) with each offered listed on the top post. If you have specific requests from the
body (Panels / Quarters) make them ASAP as it will be scraped one afternoon this week.
