40's , Big Filters , long manifolds on a Notch?

Here is my situation. I will be running the Notch (65) without an engine lid cover , ie rear floor . I Intend to run large K&N's and know that i will have to modify the rear floor still to fit them. I'm also going to be ducting air into the engine area to help cooling.

My question. When buying my carb kit weber 40's (probably new) for the t3 motor do i stick to the normal dumpy manifolds or can you use something else if there's room for them and there's a performance gain.

Many thanks

Dan;)

If your not going to worry about the engine lid cover then use the tall mainfolds as this will give better torque and they will be easier to obtain and fit to the car,

You will have to cut some of the boot shet metal away to make the fit ... but will be easier to tune n adjust n do spark plugs
