How to protect rust

Does anyone know how to go about protecting rust so that there is surface rust, but it is like stable and doesnt start to get worse?
In UltraVW there was a splitty that a guy had painted over his surface rust with cellulose....
I want to make it so that you can see my rust but it doesnt get any worse.

oo oo i know or this is how id do it,

put like a converter on it :) or a stabliser then clear caor over it ;)

should work...the converter i use just makes the rust a lil darker, you might have to try different converters to find a good 1

Yeah,converter will turn it dark,
Just lick it up with a couple good coats of 2 pak clear.
That way its sealed in for that perfect rat look.....

why convert it .... just leave it and clear it.... give it a GOOD prepsol and any shiny parts just scuff up a little for adhesion.... then spray.... no oxygen means no futhur rusting (cant oxidise w/o oxygen hehe)

i believe toby resprayed that bus then made it rat again didnt he? this caused a bit of an uprising in the UK scene?

You could paint it with fish oil.... might take a day or so to dry unless its really hot but it also stops air/oxygen from touching the metal... so no rust...

That ute really looks like it needs to be dipped in Fish oil...
Just imagine if the rust is like that on the outside....
what is it like inside the doors heater channels etc....

Yikes, I couldn't sleep at night knowing that rust could be eating My car.... Rats or No Rats... :):)

hey u can get electrtronic rust proofing about $400 it has a bar at the front of the car and one at the back of the car it draws the rust to the bars and u only replace the bars when they rust . it works on vibration of the car and is hooked up to the electrical system of u car. i use to do wet rust proofing and the electrical rust is the way of the futue so the old fashion rust is fazin out it is good stuff any alarm fitting places will install it can give u a mobile number for a guy in melbourne to do it if u want
