Paint while on pan or off?

Ive just bought myself a replacement body for my 64 beetle, and was wanting to know if its actually easier to paint it while still off the pan? Any prep work will be done off the pan as I can get the shell higher by lifting it onto some pallets for easy standing work.

Sounds like you need one of my rolling body jigs!
I fabricate them from correct measurements off the body,so they fit perfect.
They come powdercoated in your choice of colour, and are able to be taken appart for easy storage.Full metal caster wheels aswell, not cheap plastic or rubber.
U2U me if your interested.
