East Coast Targa

Day one and the VW is going very strong. Exit one Tarana with Bargwana driving (head gasket) and a GT3 Porsche with Lintott driving that hit the Armco on the Old Pacific Hwy special stage.
Off to Eastern Creek Raceway tomorrow, then WISID, Oran Park, then Bathurst.

I went down to Brooklyn on the Hawksbury and missed you guys unfortunately. Got to see a Ferrari take off at full tilt [after that speed hump] whichwas a sensual orgasm. Had a look over the Bugatti and great to see a Lancia Fulvia there too [V4]. Damn windy down on the Hawksbury though. If anyone gets a chance, make sure you pop out and have a look.

Just got back from Bathurst, exit one gearbox and out of the Targa. Went bang at the launch of the special stage after the town of Tarana. Not as bad as the poor guys in a nice new BMW M3 that we saw on the rear of a tilt tray.......not a panel was recognisable. They must have been lucky, they were in the touring class so no cage or harnesses just a lap sash and helmets.
George did a 14.3 at WSID for his first ever drag so he was very happy with that.
Time for a nap!!!!!

Yup blue and a kinda-crumpled metal colour.:thumb
It spat the crown wheel so the gearset should be fine.

They are out of the race. Split the case and parts of the side plate were left at the start. Not sure of the ratio.
The Mifsuds in the 67? are still in as of this morning, they had a broken throttle linkage to the right hand carb but Rob wired it up prior to the start of yesterdays special stage 6 with a bit of number 8 fencing wire!!, he had it welded in Bathurst last night. They also have some problems with the Terra Trip dropping out due to a sender problem, but still going strong.
I didn't get a chance to take many photos as we were always chasing the car around to the start of the next stage.

Geezus, I would think that's worth more than just a bang!

I can just imagine the range of emotions playing over your face as the reality of the situation dawned on you. Then again the noise must have been so bad that you probably knew straight away.
