t3 irs specs??

hey guys,
considering importing some airbags for the notch tired of getting beached on speed humps!! i have found a company in the states who sell volkswagen beetle kits ive emailed the guy and he said the kits would fit but is not 100% sure, i have been told that beetles and notch's have similiar and if not the same suspension setup.
i have a 69 notch (irs) and this is what they have to choose from--
60-65link pin vw's(frontend)
66-74ball jointvw's(frontend)****
60-69swing axle only(rearend)
69-74irs(rearend)****
would the ones ive marked **** fit my car? and with or without modifications? if you need more info i can send a pdf file of the process.
thanks guys any help/info would be great and may save me a whole heap of money!!

Dude, no kit made for t3, but its only bracketry!!! It depends how you are going about it all! If its a pan off job (which I highly recomend if you are going bags) then it will be easy to see every little thing, so making brackets will be easy. If you want to do it while the body is on, it is still poss, but alot harder to make bracketry!!! The Bags (or sleaves) will be the same, brackets are the only thing you will need to source from somewhere!!! But remember, it aint cheap!!! But once done, you really will feel how nice a ride you will have!!!

I hope I have helped. Cheers N!

Sorry I'm new to all this but what advantage dose airbags have over a standard lowered VW as far as ride is conserned.

Well firstly air bags are exactly what the title says, AIR BAGS. Therefore has a cushioning affect when going over a bump! Unless you have them too full or too flat!!! It also gives you the ability to lift the car up when you are coming to a speed hump, or towards cops, so they dont do you for being too low!!!! And When At show, the ability to slam the thing to the weeds!!! With standard susp. the lower you go the less the give, and the harder the ride, with bags you have a far greater amount of ride, even when lowered, but as I said earlier, you must not have them too full, or too flat..

Cheers N!

If you want to speak to the boys email me, and I will get back to you on how to contact them!!!! There is also a guy called Glen, who also does bags for Trucks, but he mainly gets kits from Air ride tech, and air lift co in the US, but he might be able to make brackets for you! cost of bags and hydros,
for a start hydros are illegal to run on the street as the hydraulic fluid is flammable and considered dangerous or unroadworthy(or thats how it used to be) but then if your not stupid about it and hitting the switches everywere most people wont know, i know of a few guys who have been running them back in adelaide for a few years without any cops hassling them. a basic hydros setup will cost about au$2000-2500.
airbags are as the police say are a grey area but can be made legal or road worthy. once again im sure you would get defected for railing or dragging(what ever you like to call it) the chassis in front of cops. a basic bag kit is about the same as hydros au$2000-2500.
this does not include instalation ofcourse.
not cheap but a hell of allot fun!
