quick question:

Early and late bumpers mount totally differently.

Early bumpers mount to the chassis rails. Late bumpers mount to a "crash pad" or "bumper pad" on the front of the kombi. The fronts are a different shape.

I guess with signifigant modification you could mount early bumpers on a late kombi, but it would actually be illegal as the crash pad is a low speed crumple requirement that came in with ADR's in 72-73.

If you only have an early bumper and want a late bumper and I have some spare late bumpers so we could do a deal. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info and the offer:beer
I have been looking at buying an early bay kombi cause i like the style a bit more but they seem to be very scarce in my region whilst the '73 onward style is still plentifull- I was hoping to retrofit a later style kombi with some ease but it seems not. Big thanks for the info!!
