quick question:
can early bay front bumpers be fitted to the later styled bay kombis?

Early and late bumpers mount totally differently.
Early bumpers mount to the chassis rails. Late bumpers mount to a "crash pad" or "bumper pad" on the front of the kombi. The fronts are a
different shape.
I guess with signifigant modification you could mount early bumpers on a late kombi, but it would actually be illegal as the crash pad is a low speed
crumple requirement that came in with ADR's in 72-73.
If you only have an early bumper and want a late bumper and I have some spare late bumpers so we could do a deal. Just a thought.

Thanks for the info and the offer:beer
I have been looking at buying an early bay kombi cause i like the style a bit more but they seem to be very scarce in my region whilst the '73 onward
style is still plentifull- I was hoping to retrofit a later style kombi with some ease but it seems not. Big thanks for the info!!
