kombi shifting problems

Lost reverse today and then subsequently lost third and fourth on the way to the mechanics..

Anyway replaced the coupling bushes and the bus feel like new. So I'm back on my way enjoying the new tight gearshift.

After awhile I notice it's a little hard to get into first. This problem grew worse until it was very difficult to get into first or second, to the point of being stuck at an intersection :(

Thing is when I turn the bus off it seems very easy to get all gears, it's just when I'm moving that shifting becomes difficult if not impossible..

Does anyone have some ideas on this? ;)
