Twin port into an oval - tinware??
Is there a prefered 'rear engine tin' (around the pulley) that allows fitting a twin port motor into an oval engine bay?
Any suggestions as to the best tinware to source would be great.
thanks

The only piece of tin that needed mods in my case was the very rear piece that sits in the rubber seal. Apart from that, no probs.

Thanks,
Do you mean you trimmed off the rear of the tin to shorten it(removing the folded down lip) which then leaves a straight edge?
If so, is it strong enough like that?

Yep.
Ya don't need strength there.
Dave would be right though, there may be an easier way.

yep i trimmed mine and but cut around the holes so u can still screw it in, sits fine and works well. everythign fits fine but its much harder to get
in and out than the stock motor, i hav found removing all the carby, pulley wheel, generator etc 1st is the easiest way to get it out.
