Windscreen washer question

From what i can gather my washer jet system is rooted. To be honest i can do without it ( w'end cruiser) and smoothing the panel off will look heaps better.

As it's off for it's blue slip i don't want to get knocked back on it. Saying that it is a mate who's doing it and my thinking of " No mate , wasn't fitted with one , that was an accessory" may save me some hassle , time and money.

If all fails i'll get some line direct to the jets , attatch a water filled sack and when i'm given the go i'll squeeze the living daylights out of it for a quick squirt, LOL nothing new there!

To stop me doing this any other ideas or legal info??????

Cheers Dan:o

Hi Danny

A fellow I know welded his washer hole up and then found that he needed washers for rego, he just ran some temporay tubes betwwen the bonnet and seal and fitted a washer bottle and pump. Try it wihout them 1st.

I can't really say anything as I might end up in jail....:P:P

You can probably get away without it as not many ondinary
people know how old a Beetle is...

but Alas... there are a lot of Nosey parker do gooders about, who know everything.... and these people usually pass cars for Rego.... :P:P

Best of Luck...

You can just use the square common bottle with pump in the bottom to spray water, with a small push button under the dash...

Steve thats my thinking and i have to make some decisions as it goes off for paint in a week.

I'm filling in the air intakes under the screen on the notch taken out and a smooth panel fitted so i'll get the washer hole welded and smoothed whilst thats going on.

If it comes to it i'll just lash something up i think.
