Updated Rules for Buying, Selling
Hi there,
please review the updated rules in the Buying and Selling sections. The major change is the relaxing of phone number rules - for cars, you can now
supply them to the buyer via u2u, and you don't have to supply your number at all for parts... but we'd like you to.
There's also some fine print down the bottom. This is in response to one commercial trader who wrote me a u2u last week which (paraphrased) said "Do
(an action) for me by this time..." which I didn't appreciate at all. I don't mind helping when I have time, but please do not
demand anything from me or any of the other admins or moderators. I think most of you appreciate that this is volunteer resource
which costs you nothing. We all get a great deal of value and community from this resource. Enough grizzling from me...
If you have suggestions for improvements, please let us know before next Monday (20/12/2004) as that's when they kick in.
I'm certain that Brad, Jim and all the moderators want to make this work, so please use this time to give us decent feedback, even if it's "yeah,
that's okay".
Go for it!
Andrew
ps. If you just want to grizzle, or say something like "don't like rules" or "rules suck" ... well, tough. The alternative is to dump these very
popular forums. Constructive feedback is useful, grizzling uselessly is not.

It's going well. 26000 km and only two bolts from the dash has fallen off. I don't know where they're from, but that's okay.
That's 19000 km more without a dealer visit than my VW managed.

Indeed. It's only fair for all the other members of this forum who want to receive and give genuine advice.
