battery drained over night
hi there everyone,
i have just put in my motor after 2 years ago pulling it out, so anyway i have a good battery that i charged over night and was working fine , i
hooked up the battery yesterday test drove the car then parked it and left it overnight with the battery still conected, went to start the car today
and there was no charge , i have not yet hooked up the ragulator would that have anything to do with it?the ignition was turned off
also one more question my brake lights are not working, the parkers come on when i put the head lights on but no brake lights the bulbs are new and
correct anyone with any idea what these probs could be?
any advise will be appreciated

brake light. at a guess, have you check the wire from the brake cylinder? or the switch itself?

i cant seem to find this switch , where do i look for it? is it on the master or somewhere on the booster? or is it on the actual pedal assembly |

The switch is in the back of the master cylinder.
I seem to put one of these switches in my ute for rego each year, I think its that shuddery rear drum, must change that one day!

its one the front of your master cylinder. has a tapered thread so be carefull when you screw in the new one. test your current one first thought o
make sure its not jsut the wire.

i will check that switch out, is it poss that the switch wires could be on the wrong terminals or does that not matter?
anyone got any idea on the battery draining?
i only drove the car for about 5 mins then turned it off |

Just touch the 2 wires together when the ignition switch is on, if your brake lights don't light up, there is another problem. If they do, its the
switch.

other option, maybe is there is a earthage with your brakes, hence they dont work, and that might be draining your battery.
