These were for the many British cars back in the 50s that didn't have a blinker arm at all... they had a switch next to the horn button....
The red light in the end used to flash ...
Most Morris Minors had these fitted as an accessory...
plus most other Austin-Morris-etc... cars from the UK...
They were also fitted to FX & FJ Holdens which didn't have any blinkers at all...
