Old Car Grave Yard - Peak Hill NSW

Just got back from 2 and a bit weeks in Qld. Travelled up and back by car and did a bit of VW spotting on the way. Didnt see too much VW stuff. Just a very wrecked split Kombi in a yard full of old stuff in Peak Hill about 30ks north of Parkes.

Saw a couple of other spitties in a yard on the northern side of Coonabarabran (sp) Small back windows so they were oldies.

Heres a few pic's of the yard in Peak Hill anyhoo.

Wrecked splittie

Na Jen didnt take the Ghia (would have been fun winding it up on the Newell H/Way thats for sure) took all the family up so went up in the family car.
There are so many little towns tucked away on that Hyway . Bound to be a few gems hidden away.

Could be a good weekend trip though ...... instead of doing a tour of celebs homes like they do in Hollywood, we could do a tour of VW graveyards ........
