Ring her up and give it to here that way. I always ring OS to talk to somebody before completeing any transactions like that.
Dont fax it.
Maybe ask if they use paypal?

Well so can anybody else who sees your card. Here or overseas.
The only 100 percent trust free way is to never use your card.

I would try to avoid faxing if at all possible incase it is intercepted. However, if it is your only option - try to fax your credit card number and
expiry date separately (ie two separate faxes).
With regards to then being able to debit your account at will - I think most(??) credit card companies (banks) offer securtiy against this kind of
thing. It happened to me - my internet company that went bust - but decided to debit my credit card about 10 times over a period of 4-6 weeks with
much larger amounts than my normal monthly amount.
It was a pain in the arse to go through the details/paperwork with the bank - but eventually got it all back. I think ultimately you just have to
prove that you did not request or receive the service/product charged. They don't make it easy for you - but eventually you will get it back.....As
Sax said - anyone who sees your card (or you give your details to for phone transactions) could use it.

thanks for the advice guys! i think i'll do the multiple faxes.. it is a debit card, so they can only take the $130 i put in the account, after that
there is nothing left

give paypal another try, it's easy to use once you get used to it and heaps safer than faxing your credit card details

I wouldn't be faxing it. Either PayPal, or you can direct deposit to international accounts, just go into the bank and ask them (some online banking
allows you to as well) it does cost like $15 tho, and you need their address, phone numbers and a pile of other info for security reasons (at least I
did when I got it done with my bank)

Yes, I use Pay Pal if possible for overseas buying...
its especially good for buying from a person and Not a Business...
I have used My credit card for purchases from Businesses in the US with no problems...
Paypal has been in US $ only until a few days ago...
You can now use it in Aussie dollars too...
Then there are the dick head Businesses in the US who won't take either Pay Pal or a Credit Card.... unless its to the address on the card - and the
address is in the US.....

I forgot to say Damien,
I would phone the credit card details ....
and make sure the name You give is identical to the name on the card.... [this seems to be important in the US]
and check out Pay Pal... its not too difficult...
regards
