Yep there is specific blue brake hose for this purpose, and its really expensive!! But you should not need much lenght as it only fits between the
hard line pieces.
I also tried fuel line as that is what I was recommended, but it wept like crazy and mucked up all the paint.
......random gibberish for today.......

All the VW Shops sell it....
Its special brake hose.....
and as someone said its expensive but its the only one to use... once its pushed onto the pipe....
It cannot be pulled off.... and lasts until its cut off ...
usually about 30+ years....
I really can't believe that You would try something else....
All rubbers used in or with brake fluid must be a special rubber.... O rings etc included.... otherwise they will swell...

Steve
the late models ( twin master cylinder ) use the Blue hose with about an 8mm dia
The pre 67 single master cylinder hose is different and green and small ID of course.

Was speaking with a brake mechanic the other day and was explaining the weeping I was experiencing, and he said that it could have been
"condensation" on the outside of the rubber hose. This, he explained, occurs because brake fluid is HYDROSCOPIC and attracts water.
Not sure if that is the case or not, but I'm replacing the hoses now anyway.
