Gear selections

Well i have my New second hand gearbox in my buggy now, but i can only get 3rd gear and neutral nothing else.

I have had the gearbox back in and out a few times now taking the nose cone off each time to check that all the selectas are in the correct place in the midle of each, but nothing has changed.
I have loosened the shifter off its self and tried to re-aline it that way but still only 3rd gear.
Anyone have any ideas on the problem?.

I would be glad to hear them.
cheers

Had the same problem with my buggy when I replaced the shifter coupling. It turns out that my car has a later model gearbox which has a different alignment to the earlier shifter rod. What I ended up doing, was to drill a new hole in the shifter rod (not an easy task!) so that it has the correct alignment with the gearbox. When the hole is drilled the alignment has to be perfect.

Good luck
