Carby suggestions for my MkI Golf

Hey, i own a 76 mk1 golf and am in the process of looking for carby set ups to give it a bit more poke, along with extractors. Ive been givin a few ideas like getting a TS Passat manifold which apparently goes strait on?? and then either sticking with the TS carb or putting on a dcnf webber that i have in my posession. any suggestions would be helpful on which would be the best or any other set up that works best etc.

Also i was looking on ebay and found a Pierburg 1B carby with manifold that suits a golf and am curious to see if it would be a good investment as i have never heard of them before.
Thanks.
