help with transmition

my 1973 type 2 2ltr. auto has been givin me trouble. the trans oil was originaly burning up white...then i got a new pressure valve, topped up the atf. drove for a hour then, slipped out of gear, was registering no gear at all and was registering no atf, with no visible leaks and no burning???
after a few times of filling it with atf, it ran for a bit, then slipped.....by the time i got home, i had to reverse up a huge hill then, after i turned around, all the gears went.
now.......i filled up atf, registers, but no front gears, just reverse.
help.............................................................................
i live so far out and must try to fix myself.....
any thing is good.
thanx

You would need to strip the auto down , its a big job and BIGGER if you dont know what your doing .
I would say you have cooked it and it needs a total rebuild .

To recon one of those boxes arround $1000.00 > $1500.00 .
get the second had box change the oil > if water has not got into the inside it will be ok .
