stainless steel exhaust kit
In a few months Bug@5-speed will have a stainless steel exhaust system for both the 2.2 EJ and the 2.0 turbo EJ engines.
I'm ordering my shortened sump from them
http://www.bugat5speed.de/cms/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/
and thought the exhaust system might be ineresting for you guys.
please note that I am in no way affiliated with 5-speed

I just mailed them to ask if the exhaust system will give more ground clearance for the turbo version (I really hope it will) and will let you know as
soon as I find out.

good news, the exhaust isn't any lower then the shortened sump
here 's the reply I got
"The exhaust system will not be any lower than the oilpan (my flat one). Ground clearance is better than with the original one."

Is it just the headers to the "up" pipe that you ordered. If you look at mine or Jaks, the exhaust itself is not that low. I drove it out a pretty
steep driveway and it didnt scrape to my surprise....the sump is the problem. I also like the fact that the casat iron ones look pretty strong if it
was to scrape. The one thing I did order was a new up pipe which you will get with the headers...straighter and bigger apparently increases spool up
time. Did you get a landed price from them?

Also with teh cast headers there are 2 different styles at least for teh ej20Ts. One has better flowing bends and came on at least the STIs they flow
far better then the standard cast sets. They both run teh same tinware cover so you will have to take that of to see which set you have. I was advised
by a reputable subaru performance shop unless you are after every single bit of Hp it is not really worth teh expence of teh tuned length ones. But
extra Grond clearence is another matter to consider I guess.

Just got an email from bug@5speed on those exhausts:
"stainless steel 4 in 1 exhaust pipe plus Kat plus muffler (all in stainless steel) is available now. Can be ordered for 2.2 and 2.0 and 2.0 Turbo.
Complete Price incl. Kat for the 2.2 is 1.990 Euro
Complete price for the Turbo without Kat (own Kat must be used) is 1.865 Euro.
All parts can be ordered individually. Ground clearance the same as with my oilpan (5 cm less than the original oilpan).
Pictures on my homepage within the next week. "

4 in 1 exhaust pipe
Hi,
now I can post on my own. Had problems with access. Thank you 72RSbug.
My 4 in 1 exhaust pipe in stainless steel is finnished now and can be ordered. It is made of stáinless steel and has the same ground clearance as my
oilsump (5 cm less than original). It is available for EJ 20, EJ 22 and EJ 22 T. I also have a Kat and a muffler (both in stainless steel as well).
For the Turbo it is without Kat (the Kat from the car can be used).
Price for a complete 2.2 exhaust system with Kat and muffler with two pipes (70 mm) is 1.990 Euro ex works.
Am looking for dealers!
