Engine Removal / Installation Guide

Hi all,

I hope to soon be removing and installing an engine and gearbox with my '60 beetle.

Are there any good guides out there?

I hope to get hold of a 'Compleat Idiots' guide but apart from that....what are the good ref's? I remember seeing a very simple guide that was only a few pages long....

Advice, while I'm at it, to do this?

That website is great! Is it a well-kept secret? We need to publicise it more!

I just sort of leant as i went. jsut make sure everything is disconeccted. it also depends on your materials, as i know one person who made a removable rear panel, another a set of stands and braces that make it really easy and i just use a very (800mm plus) high lift jack.

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!
