Temp Sender Woes
Can someone please help me out.
I bought a oil temp guage and sender and am wondering where to put it! I know that it has to be drilled and tapped into the sump. but where? Can
someone help me out with this or if anyone is able to do it for me it would be much appreciated! Will pay for it of course.
We are heading off in 2 weeks to travel australia and it would be very handy to have the oil temp guage fitted..
Cheers Dave

Is there a factory sender which goes to the oil light on the dash that i would take out and but the new one in (changing thread or whatever).
Or with the right adapter could it be made to fit the drain plug??

I'll try and get you a photo tomorrow. In my 1600, mine was put in the case to the right of the rear pully down low. You wont need the adaptor if you
can get the right size tap for the sender unit. I hope that you know what the thread is as VDO had about five different sizes.
