our pride & joy beetle '60 - strange colour

this is our treasure. 1960. original 77000miles. all 4 guards have been repainted and a small section at front of bonnet but rest is ridgy. we are soooo proud of her. unusual colour, not sure exactly what it is called and i havent seen it on any other beetle before, similar to manly tan but darker. any ideas?
we intend on getting the guards repainted so they are aged the same as the car, few more touch ups around the doors etc and a few more accessories then she will park up for most of the time, even though its such a time warp taking her for a drive!! what a beauty!!

i just wanted to add that the back seat has NEVER been sat on. when we got her she had been parked up for 4 years and brakes and clutch were siezed. it was covered in blankets and sheets and dust. it hadnt been washed for over 20 years!!

wow very sweeet.

I've seen that colour on a '59 before, it was in Volksworld a few issues back. Very nice accessories, mesh headlight guards, love those trims on the rear window vents.

nope, do they have that on the early ones? mine has the square cut out for brake fluid reservoir. maybe its peeled off as it looks like the brake fluid leaked a little at some stage. i now wrap the whole thing up in a rag until i find one of those little rubber stoppers to go in it.
