importing cars

Anyone had any experience with importing and converting LHD to RHD from America? Or, does anyone know of any for sale sites from NZ? (would be easier).....?.......

Thanks

any car over 15 years old can be bought straight in without a 12 month registered overseas period.just need import aproval and the best way to ship(in my opinion is via ro ro(roll on roll off)as long as it can roll they will ship it.costs around $1000us plus 13% charge.plus for vehicles over 15 years old 5% import duty.........dont know to much about rhd conversions but alot of people from the states are converting thier cars to rhd(mainly beetles)but i suppose a splitty wouldnt be so hard.

but personally i would leave it original(some states allow you to drive lhd vehicles,or just get it onto club rego and drive it as a left hand drive(wink wink)
