cant really help much as in west oz, but i have a kelvinator 1952 (still has warranty sticker on the inside of the door and original gas!!) - they are called round shouldered apparantly and your best bet is to try those second hand appliance type shops or even shops that deliver your new fridge & take the old one away. they are getting a bit hard to find in working order though, and they cost way more than the new fridges to run but if you are handy you could get a non runner and retro it with newer motor & gas..........good luck!!

Hmm, I got a couple. They are in Brisbane. In the shed, haven't been run for a while. What sort of money you looking at paying. I haven't even considered what they are worth.

hmmmm... retro fridges :D ive got a friend with a red kelvinator... needless to say im quite envious.

have a look in your local op-shop warehouses, but be quick because they get snapped up very very fast.

U guys don't know much about these fridges do u..

price, as usual, depends on working order and state of exterior.
Bad exterior but working - can still fetch about $300 - 400
good exterior working - can fetch up to $1000

This is because more and more artists are trying to grab the few left, who paint them like jukeboxs (amongst other things)

when that is done to them, they can then sell for about $3000, depending on artist.

Hey, fact is i didn't know either until a guy approached me for one that was being transported INTO my home (we were moving at time) and offered me $600 for it. I nearly died. But it had sentimental meaning to me, i wasn't selling it. I gave it to another brother who now has it as his bar fridge.

But u know what, I think they should just be sold cheap, kept up, and kept going......

but that's me..
