Its NOT a 64 Beetle...
Maybe a 62 or 63 Beetle....

because it has small clear front blinkers close to the bonnet.
an engine lid with a small number plate lamp...
Incorrect for a 1964 Beetle....

It should have wide amber colored front blinkers...
a wide numberplate lamp....

Yo 68AnalRentive ;-)

Wouldn't it be more appropriate for you to send this via U2U (However I note that you emailed me via ebay too). Instead you are publicly implying that I don't know what year my car is?

Obviously it hasn't crossed your mind that a few non genuine '64 part may have found their way onto the car during the last 41 years - especially since it had at least one paint job. To say outright that it's not a '64 and imply I am misleading is a bit rich dude. I bought it as a '64, it is registered as such .

I better check ASAP or the ebay police will come and put me in jail for false advertising - I hope I can sleep tonight He He

That said, I would have appreciated and maybe even acted on this info had it been delivered curteously :-)

Cheers with Beers

Misleading and deceptive conduct can render a contract void, but only if it is fradulent, if it was innocently done...there is nothing that can be done

There is even the chance it was manufactured in 63 and not registered until 64. I wouldn't think it is misleading especially with all the pics showing the car 'warts and all'

Damn I love this bug. What a great starter for someone. I wish I could get it for my daughter and put it away for a few years.

Speedo says 3/63, but how can I be sure it's the original one ? How do I determine the true vintage of this car?

Cheers

I have to confess I am a dill!!

It's actually registered as a '63 and not a '64. Must have had some good drugs recently.

I have updated my ebay advert to reflect the change and am hanging my head in shame....
