Easy fit, no.

You would have to change the frame head for the front end, so you can bolt the earlyer torsion bar front suspension to, there is no way that you can use the strut front suspension off the super with out major mods.

The floor pan holes of the super bug pan will match the early body, but the rear mounts on the early body will have to be shortened to fit the super pan.

Hope this helps

It can / has been done

http://www.clubvw.org.au/jurgo.htm

this car is actually a Super. the pan was perfect and it was a better choice to weld on a new head.
The car was worth it. It is wonderful.

I didnt say it was cheaper or easier
