73 beetle ute now with pics


i have a 73 beetle which i have cut 5ins past the doors to make a ute.....going to run a 6 rib kombi box with a ej20t,4 wheel discs,aero front guards and a aluminium tray and it will be painted in the new ford falcon purple.....will keep ya posted....hopefully with pics soon......vaughn:jesus

as soon as i figure out how to use my scanner i will post pics of a ute i made about 15 years ago.it had a hot 1835 with a baja front end on it.....cheers vaughn

1 sold in Mudgeerada a couple of years ago for (so my son tells me ) $2000 but when I saw it for sale 6 months later it was$4000 - $5000. Was that your fisrt 1?

the one i am building now should be better than that one.......even though that one was awesome to drive.when i sold it i put a standard 1500 in it and kept the 1835 .......and then put the 1835 in my mates beach buggy and the damn thing would pull wheelstands in 1st and 2nd gear.....lol....heaps of fun........vaughn

going to make a custom back wall out of steel,leaving that up to my panelbeater mate and the pan will have to be strengthen but i have a transport engineer coming around shortly to tell me everything i will have to do to get it legal .....cheers......vaughn
