WTB - Karmann Ghia.....

Hey folks, I've got a friend who is looking for a Karmann Ghia, and is ready to buy immediately.
He definitely wants a hard top. No more than about 23 grand or so, in really nice condition.
And he would prefer one that's in Victoria or not too far from Vic (eg Adelaide etc)
Cheers and any help or info on available cars would be appreciated. Thanks, Ren.

Yeah that one in Sydney is nice. I'm sure he won't like the interior though, he just wants to buy one that's ready to go with no significant work to be done.....

with the change out of your $23k, you could put a pretty strong engine in there.

he doesn't wanna fly yo Qld or have a holiday either it seems

i hope you find a solid car.
Even the S A one has work to do
lil things like the steering colum tube the front b/bar chrome irk me when you talk of a 20k+ car it should be nice.

IRS is a great asset btw if you want to even have a 1600tp the power is too much for safety and performance.
Had a type 34 -1600tp stockyand got a bit dangerous when you want to push it through the curves with pace.
my 60 cal 1835 ported & polished unleaded Gene Berg acc. with twin dello's
on irs (with st cam btw) is just super. mind you has to be my other car is a E220 Merc Limo with all the safety gear.
Karmen 60 looks great with the wheels having 1cm approx - clearance from the guards using only cheviot wheels.
Yeah, happy to sell - got anothrer to do. Email me for pics

funny boy a little more help

hi all to looker have you found a car yet
if this fellow cant find a good ghia with all the help hes given
why would I push my cars on him
I sold the 58 low light for a bargain he missed out on few months ago
there are plenty of good and bad ones just check them all out buy the best you can afford as it will cost you in the long run
dont buy modified is my moto they dont resell well as you have all noticed on here
buy pre 66 for classic if you after IRS 67-69 are the best for more power options

we're not talking of $20k+
the car is only $15.5k.
this is what I'm saying.
for the $8k change he can spend $100 on getting the steering column repainted or $200 on getting the bumpers re chromed.
