Yeah, can't beat em'. I was wondering, as a modification project, even though there is the matter of doors etc, could you cut the roof off and have a fully convertible bus.

It would be the maddest party car for a young 16 year old like me. Of course, you would need bars here and there (i presume, if you want to have a soft top to go over in the rain), and for safety. BUT IT WOULD BE DAM COOL!!!

By observing all the images for a while now, do these Kombis have a tendency to be bullet proof?

Darren.
Totally agree with you mate.
Havent driven mine for 5 days and I am getting restless.
Got a run tomorrow so it will be cool.
I dont think the bus thing is a fad, look how its taken off in Europe, and its been like that for the last 10 years.
We are a bit slow over here, but we are even seeing bays start to fetch good money now.

Got to take mine off the road next week. Got a leaking seal in the gearbox.

Hows yours going?

Cheers
Dave

hi dave
my bus is going great except i dinged both the front door whilst drilling out the holes for the front door interior panels (not to worry i suppose its not that bad really) but in saying that i will be fixing them asap. i have been hiitin the streets around my place just to get my fix , probably not a good idea but cant help myself.
i have cut out all new panels for the interior got some bay clips for the panels so they cant be seen stuck on the foam to give it some body and my mum and myself have been sewing like crazy and its definatly very original i have not seen anything like what we are doing so i cant wait to finish it. after that rego then get in and drive to the day of the volkswagen show in adelaide, my girlfriend and i have always wanted to go to that show
cheers darren
