What cam should I use?
I am going to have the 2 ltr from the Kombi stripped and I need to have some low down pulling power as I want to run larger wheels. What cam would be
best? Is there any advantage in using ratio rockers if I change the cam or is there a good combination to use.

Have you had a look at http://www.shoptalkforums.com/? There has been a lot of
discussion of type 4 engine combinations.
I have been considering the same idea and would love one of Jake Raby's bus specific cams! (And the time and $ to do the work)
PS. If you change the cam from stock you will need to redo the rocker geometry.

If you want a 2ltr to have low down pulling power, use the stock cam.

Hey Dave, another cam question for you while you are doling out advice (your advice is always worth listening to) - what cam would be best suited to
an 1835 with counterweighted and balanced internals, unported 040 heads and twin Kadrons ?

Doug,
I have a 1776 that has an Engle 100 in it, it is very smooth, I have a set of 40 Dells on it. You can still use stock springs and rocker gear with it
too.
But if you want a few more revs, an Engle 110 works well with Kads, and heavier single springs.
A 120 gets a bit rough at idle and you should run dual springs with solid rockers.
Other people may tell you different, but that is what I like.

Dave is spot on. I have the 120 cam in a 1776 with kads and it IS rough at idle. It also uses double valve springs and solid ratio rockers. This
engine was built by someone who also knows. But having said that I would have used the 110 cam knowing what I know now.

Thanks for the info. I would like to get more power from the engine and at the moment it is stock. I am thinking 36 or 40 idf webers and an after
market ignition system (recomendations?). If I stay with the standard cam is it worth while to use ratio rockers?

36's would be a bit small, I would go for 40's at least.
T4 engines already have a high ratio rocker arm standard.
