really dumb question re spark plugs

Iam new to VW engines
This is so dumb but is there a special spark spanner for beetle engines? I cannot get to mine due to the extension bar not giving enough room to turn them and the two plugs nearest me as i look at the engine are so hard to get to it seems impossible they can ever be removed without taking the engine out?

If u can find the origional tube socket spanner that came with the car ... they work really well.

The other trick is to crack them all then get a big of rubber tube n push over the end off the plug n undo it out ...... n replace the same way ....................

My other car is a scooter, and it's in even more bits than my beetle. One day they will both be back together.......

Magnetic ones are good, cus it's a pain in the ass to drop a spark plug down onto the cylinders!
