there was an absolutely fuxxored one for sale in montville a while ago i went and looked at it and it was so beyond repair it wasnt funny and he still wanted 500 bucks for it or something. had been in a major front smash everything was bent.

I know what you mean. I had the chance to buy a proper Baja ute (ie with decent ground clearance), but didnt have the $$ so let it pass. Its prob still in perth somewhere, only problem was it had those crap square headlights...

Could you make one of these but with a flat motor in it so the tray would be lower/ have it sitting closer to the top of the wheels?? Not sure if you can put a flat motor in a beetle easily....

How do you make one? make fibre-glass moulds? How does one protect the engine from the weather?

69' baja: kombi box, thing spindles, irs, disc front, type 3 rear drums, 2 inch lift kit, 31x10 rears. :tu:
New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!
