Drilling out spotwelds


What's the best drill size to use? Is the idea to use a larger drill than the weld so you only drill thru the top layer & leave the metal underneath relatively unscathed??

You should be able to buy a specific spotweld bit rather than a drill. From memory I paid about $20 for it.
