well..paid the $120 for the "good" stuff and the first time i took the Lbug out in the rain it warped and wobbled all over the place and looks like crap.
does anyone know if there is any "good" sheet material for the firewall ?
what do others do with this area of the engine bay?

Were all the "tags" in place?
Have seen some aftermarket chrome louvred metal ones - try Mick's

thanks Grahame.....yep, all the tags in place and used...just inferior quality tarboard, a little moisture and it delaminated and warped
maybe i should try make something out of aluminium sheet with some sound deadening sandwiched behind it
i have used the louvred s/s kit before on another car, its ok but a little "showy" for what i wanted.
