71 super lowering
OK I've got a 71 super beetle that I want to lower. I've got some whiteline springs (40~50mm lower). So whats next? can I just use a
standard insert and cut the stops or is there a nicer solution? golf inserts? |

you need golf inserts and adjustable struts if you want to do it right.
Go to
http://www.clubvw.org.au/
Then stories from our club magavine > struts and stuff
Good article by Steve C
Another good place is
http://www.superbeetlesonly.com/frameset.html
go to Tech and Stuff
as well as the forums under Technical > Suspension.
I have just dumped Blue with the help of V Force. He sells the adjustable strut if you are interested.
It is custom made with a Kings spring and Saachs insert.

Do what Baz says & call Richard at V-Force, 0297431247 & he's cheaper than everyone else as well.

Congratulations to Ben Durie for breaking the hillclimb record at Ringwood in his stroker beetle!
