FS: Early Notch Rear Wide 5 Brake Drums & Backing Plates

Name: Steve Moran
Suburb: Melrose Park, Sydney
Ph: 0421-044987

I have a rear set of very hard to find Type 3 notch drums. These are perfect ugrade to the back of a beetle, and allow you to retain the wide 5 pattern for BRM's, EMPI's sprints etc. They can also be used on some straight axle and IRS conversions on a splitty.

Comes with backing plates and some of the internal hardware.

If you need em you will know how hard these are to come by.

Price $100 for the pair.

Cheers

Steve

They can be used on an IRS beetle, and I intended to use them on my IRS's 61 karmann cab, until i bought some 17' Turbo twists and 944 turbo brakes. I think I might have a VW Trends article showing you how to fit them somewhere.

Cheers

$100 for the pair, or swap for a set of 46mm big nut reduction boxes for anyone wanting to do a straight axle conversion on a splitty

Penguin, you can fit these to an irs, but you have to machine down the outer part of the "nose' which the nut backs onto, as it is longer than normal.

I have a taker for the drums, but if anyone wants to know what the procedure is for putting them on a car click below:-
