@Naming Cars etc
:sandrine
I call mine the "old girl"
as you can gather she & me stick together.
We share the same age, wrinkles, battlescars, fun times, and we've met together, some really terrific people along
the way, who share our world with the same passion. as they say she is a
peoples car.
Yes I do get upset & we swear when things go wrong, but she always seems to get me home.
As for fashion, us girls stick together, & we must accessorise, our clothes must match our car. We were born in the sixties & we live in Byron
Bay.....what can I say. We both are a product of our generation.
Jewellery, all girls want to show off something,.... she has a black
garter hanging on her rear view mirror
just to let you know she as well as being fun, she has a soft & sexy side.
As as we all know we all must have at least one sticker on our car that says
something....
she reads "Classic not Plastic". |

I have never named any of My Cars before.... as just about everyone here has a name for their favorite VW.... I have been thinking and My
68AutoBeetle will be called "Bugsy"... Hey We might be related "BUG" ... Only Joking...
Now Bugsy took a lot of thought... My 2 year old Grandson calls it "Poppy's Buggy"
but Bugsy and buggy are close...
Best wishes from Scone..:o:thumb:bounce:bounce:bounce

Oh yeah! me too -
The Dog-O-War's (71 Baja) name come from a Pink Floyd album. Floyd has always been big for me and was mainstream as it could be about when it was
coming off the production line. Like VW, Floyd was not only alternate but beyond it peers.
I'm Ex-military also and since the Baja is a perversion of what the Die hards call a real beetle then the Dog-O-War label seems to work well as
the real Dog's of war in Nazi Germany were hearding people and not sheep. At the same time the VW factory was being bombed and America used the
same dogs but called them 'Alsations' instead of German Shepards to sniff out bunkers and find hidden room in ghettos.
Anyhow - It has a lot of connections and generally the Baja acts like my best mate when were far from home.
Hope to stop off at Byron either at Aug or Dec when were up that way. Better put the Jug on.
