Hi Guys,

I have a VDO extreme(big one) programmable tacho that was in the car when I got it. Out of the back has the following colours......red, blue, black, white, yellow and green.

Anyone know which is which??? too many options.

My little boy wanted me to put the little light saber picture..:vader

Hey, I've got the same tacho.
Just spent the last 20 mins trying to find the instructions, but couldnt.
from memory, (not always a reliable source)
red: +ve
black: -ve
white: illumination
blue: trigger
yellow: external shift light or rev limiter.
green: can't remember.

Sorry, can't help....

Sorry, Haven't seen one of those.....
I've been lucky with most tachometers but I haven't come across one like that.....
There must be an instruction sheet somewhere....
otherwise it would be labelled....
Looks like trial and error.....
Lots of errors....

Best of luck

you'll also need to make sure you've got the 4 switches on the back in the right spot to choose between 2,3,4,5,6,8,10,&12 cyl

Hi Matt

If you have no luck I still have my instructions. I could either fax or email them to you!
