anyone in melb able to narrow a beam for me?
im currently running an adjustable beam, which i assume is illegal, as the middle was cut and the adjusters welded in.. so does anyone have the
time/skill to cut it again to narrow it for me? cant be any more illegal..
if it isnt possible to recut and weld the beam due to Strength loss, i have a stock beam that can be used.. and i'll just buy selecta drops to be
welded at the same time..
i figure if it is just as illegal, then im better off having the narrowed beam, and better tyres on the front, than the 135's i currently have
im in SE melb.. but willing to travel anywhere in melb
any help greatly appreciated..

i sent mine up to cbb and they did a wicked job.
engineer cleared their work no problem. will need to be inspected once its in your car ($)
mine cost about $550 plus courier costs, plus costs of adjusters. you can reuse yours if you want.
give them a call - i talked with mike, he s really helpful.
let him know that i passed on your details, and i have got the ok from my engineer, as i was talking to him recently about this.
send me a u2u if you want more advice.
there are other people closer who can do it (ie in melbourne) but they are costly and i can really vouch for cbb quality

If you want cheap, I know a dude who can do it for you. He's in Ferntree Gully, so he's really close too. I know he's installed a few in his own
cars. If you're interested, I'll ask if he wants to do it.

I could help you if you were in Brissy. We do them for $550 which includes shorteneing your leaves, tie rods and supply and fitting of the adjusters.
You will need to add steering adjuster after you fit it up to make sure it is in the right place to clear your tyres.
If you are going with a K&L beam then the shock towers need to be changed to allow the 2" to fit in.
Anyway just thought I would let you know so if you can get it done local make sure the price includes getting leaves and tie rods done as well.

I've seen BUGBOY's handywork. Super hi-tech machinery is used to drill the leaves. Sounds impressive at least. |
