Chris why dont you get a part time job and take out a loan of $3000!! Get your olds to go guarentor for you and over a 5 year term it'd probably cost around $20 a week! I dunno just food for thought and you seem to wanna bug heaps. Then when you get a full time job you can just pay it out really quickly. My friend did that in grade 12.

Would be a good idea, and i do want bugs heaps. I can't wait till i get my 1st. But my dad (both parents) won' t let me have them as the guarentors, and they are making it hard enough with me getting a 2nd hard car with explaining need for $$$ here and there and recommending me to get comprehensive insurance and explaining that I need to research how to check if the cars stolen, or theres any money being owed on it, or checking its history or something (which would be a good idea) and trying to work out how to prove my purchase for when i go to get rego, when there still is rego left on the 2nd hand car, and when the rego has been out for a few months.

I need all these questions answered and then i would be very ready, just however mum and dad are not willing to be guarentors. They are always tight for money unfortunately :( cause of the bills, paying for food, clothing and trying to get a new house for me and my 3 bros, while paying expensive private school fees for 2.

I gotta really fend for my self in this state atm unfortunately. It just sux seeing all these beetles at decent prices just fly by while i watch everyone else getting em and enjoyin em while i just stand here dreaming. :(

I'm working part time at the moment these holidays, and have a job, as well as getting some tax back by the end of June. But it ain't gonna be $3000. Be like $500, which is far off from any decent looking/running beetle sigh.

:o:(

Thanks

Thank-you for putting those up for! Much appreciated! Yes it certainly is a car with character...Her name is 'BESSY BUG', (although your more than welcome to change the name). I have all receipts from when i bought the car, and most from the previouse owner. My dad and the previose owner are both qualified mechanices, so its been well maintained!
Chris...it is a shame the situation you are in! I am not sure what you can do :S I do know what you are talking about though, i went through all the same stuff! I can answer some of the question about my car though... It has no money owing on it, Rego is paid until march next year, 3rd party has been paid, I have most history of what has been done too it, including road worthys. Well i do hope someday you do find a car and everything works out for you!
