they had 34 picts on them stock. which has a bigger throat where it meets the manafold so unless u had an adapter plate then a 30 wouldnt fit anyway.

I know a lot of people that put the 30 Pict on 1600's especially with 009's. Works heaps better.

Yes - you need the adapter plate

I had a 30/31 on my 1600. Had a tendency to stall going down hill with in neutral/coming up to traffic lights, but that could have been caused by something else I guess

And I pulled it off today and fitted a s/h 34 I bought at the wreckers. The adapter plate is... ahhh... interesting. It narrows the throat horribly and cranks the airflow to the side by about 30 degrees. My car now starts and idles beautifully, goes heaps harder above 70km/h... but stumbles aand farts like a drunk from walking pace to about 60 kays... :duh

Seagull

I got a carbi in the shed, though not sure what it is... ill check when i get home. It basically brand new.

From memory its 34pict... also logic cause I bought it for the 1500 kombi motor but wouldnt fit. Though still need to check.

Cheers

Joel
