I Got a new job!!!!
Hey peeps!
I just got a mechanic apprenticeship at a VW service center i start on monday for my trial period.
1976 Mk1 Golf 4door, 1.8l GTI engine with big valve head, Spax PSX sprint kit and a single 45mm dellorto DHLA.

The trial is for 2 weeks so if i dont want to do it i can just go back to skool

CONGRATULATIONS apprenticeships are quite often not considered because people quite often only consider the immediate future, I made that mistake
& by the time you realise, it is too late to do one, no matter what you do later it is always good to have a trade to fall back on   |

Yeh some of friends think that apprenticeships arent that good but trades are always good to fall back on

i am an electrician by trade - never worked as one though. Then again best thing i ever did to get me into Mech Services work.
trade knowledge is great.
there is going to be a big shortage of good hands on qualified people (already is!) and people that hack it out are going to command top $$$ :bounce

I imagine like alot of workshop that there will probably be some sort of initiation ceremony like making you continually drive around the block in a
Korean made 4 cylinder car until you burst into tears!! Hehe well done and grats on the new job

hey lucky you around here apprenticshipd are very hard to come buy in the mechnic area about 1 out of about 500 each year get one!!!!
and if u do get an aprenticeship u have to go to newcastle (5 1/2 hours away) to do the trainign!!!!!
tis bullshit but good on ya!!!
