A 2L T4?
you will need T4 manifolds (same as IDF 36,40,44)
Air cleaners
Linkage.
Gaskets
Maybe vents
Definetely jets
They need to be restudded. The Alfa only has 2 studs for the air cleaner so you will need the extra ones put in.
They also have a choke mechanism the needs disconnecting if going on an upright motor cause it interferes with the shroud.
You sure the are DRLA 40's - just unusual
Mostly DRLA 36's or IDF's- still should be ok though

thanks heaps for the info. still seems to need a lot to get them going but getting bits slowly it should be to bad
As to the 40mm size thatis just what the ad said,what is the 40mm/36mm ,just the throught width or something else,and is it marked

Have you bought these?
Something dont seem right. Are you sure they are not DHLA's ie side draft?
The carbs i have seen have a flat top not a flange at both ends.
Sorry .... it is hard trying to visualise at the office.
The red stuff dont look familiar either
