Been offered a beetle dunno about price??

Hi all. I have been offered a 1973 superbug for $4500. Completely restored with new tyres, motor, clutch. No rust and good paint. Does this sound like a reasonable price as I am new to the volkswagen seen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ;)

If its completely restored and virtually everything new/restored, then by all means, its like buying a near new car (if it is fully restored). Therefore, thats quite a good price. Compare it with some in the selling/swapping cars section in this forum.:thumb

look at this one

http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=38928

Its about the same model (except 1974), and is said to be in 'ok' condition for $3499.

Heres a 1968 beetle for $8000, fully restored (literally close to a brand new beetle, from the description):

http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=40318

And heres a 72' beetle for $7500:

So from ur description, if it really is very good condition, then the price is pretty decent.:thumb
