My Beetles
Just thought i would post some pics of my beetles.
The white one was sold to me as a 1959 Delux however i believe it may be a 1960.... It still has semophores, no fuel gauge, non-syncro 1st gear, but
has push button door handles and a non-original 1300 engine. Is there another way to tell? Still running 6v.
The red one i believe is a 1962 delux? has 12v new interior and a 1600 engine from a 1969 Kombi.

cool
The chassis number is 2930555
Another question my speedo cable isnt connected at the wheel.
My problem is the square end of the cable doesnt seem to physically fit in through the square hole in the hub. Could this be the wrong cable? And if i
enlarged the hole in the hub would it work?
Thanks in advane

nice cars newbie and uberhitzt!
I got an early '60 very similar to the white one, but with a few more coats of different coloured paint! and a LOT more wires (which somebody
resprayed all of them blue) underneath the bonnet
when will they hit the road?
speeding is bad!
relax - god's in charge

hey lams,
not too sure really.... erm the red '62 needs the engine and lights, then it should be just about ready. So i'll have to talk to the other half
about weather he'll be able to do it himself or if we need to send it off to the professionals. The white one has rego and road worthy... but newbie
will be able to tell you more... i'm just a beauty therapist!!!!

another quick way to check the MY is the date will be stamped on the rear of the speedo unit, you should be able to see this from 'under the bonnet
son'..
thats as long as it hasn't been changed?
