Q about kombi annex's/side tents
:sandrine
I have a friend who bought a VW blue & orange kombi side annex/tent.
He owns a 76 kombi & tells me it doesn't fit it.
I don't know much about these annex's so if someone can answer my Q that would be greatly appreciated....
Are there different sizes/styles for different year kombi's?
How do I find out what one he has.
Anyone know of a website I can go to for some research on this.
Hope someone can help...

By the colour it sounds like it could be like mine which is in the picture below.Unfortunately in this photo you can't see it where it attaches to
the kombi but the big flap comes out & over the sliding door & i attach it to the gutter with some lilltle clamps. Not sure if this helps ayt all.
Oh....Snap.....!

yes it does have the VW logo on it & the word "campmobile". Looks very similar to yours Mandy (Splittychick)...thanks for the pic, same colour
too.
I haven't tryed to erect it yet as its pouring rain here.
Roy, its not on the justkampers website....checked that.
I done some research tonight & found there were tents made for each era.
And found it... Its called a Breadloaf-era (68-79) tent
named..... The "Drive-Away" Westy Tent
Introduced in '67 for the second generation Campmobiles.
It has a boot that fits snugly against the side of the bus, & a plastic floor. Blue & yellow/orange colour scheme.
So this is probably what this is...
By all the pics this is the closest to it I found.
Obviously why it universal/fits so many kombis....made for '68-'79
thanks everyone...

I dont mean it as a criticism but the only thing I have been able to think of is that he was trying to attach the flap that goes to the front at the
side & the side that goes to the sliding door to the rear thinking that was the main entrance
